These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.
Addy is a small town in Stevens County, in Washington's northeast corner, about an hour and 15 minutes out of Spokane. It started as a Swiss dairy community. It took its name in 1890 from the nickname of the first postmaster's wife, and later became a stop on the railway between Chewelah and Colville. Alcoa built a magnesium smelter there in 1975, which became the largest employer in the county.
All four of the murders in the entry come from episode 300 and from one date, December 23, 2000. A family of four was living about eight miles northwest of town, out in the county, and that one date is the whole entry.
Addy ranks 104 overall and second in Washington, and it got there on a single December day.
