These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.
Cheswold's two murders put it 217th overall and second in Delaware. Episode 165, from 2020, carries both, and the cases sit 20 miles away in Port Penn.
September 1990 accounts for the first. On a Sunday night, a 22-year-old dental assistant left her mother's house in the Port Penn area with her roller skates over her shoulder, telling her mother she was off to the rink where she skated about once a week. She never arrived. The second case runs from 1993 into 1994.
So the Cheswold area is two towns 20 miles apart, Port Penn in New Castle County and Cheswold at the centre, with one case each and a few years between them. The count is one death per case.
