Davie sits in Broward County, just outside Miami, in southeastern Florida. In the 1970s and 1980s it was horse country: one-acre lots, rodeos and none of the metropolitan sprawl, which locals called Cowboy Town. By 2022 it had 106,621 residents and, as the hosts put it, the distinction of being Florida's most populous place still called a town.
Its whole league entry comes down to one episode. Episode 322 carries all six victims within 25 miles, and all six are in Davie itself, so there is no ring of separate cases around the town and no slow accumulation across the decades. The story begins with a family who moved there while it was still rural, and the dates run from February 1975 to November 1988.
Which makes Davie a lesson in how this league works. Six in one episode looks like a hot spot; it is really one story the show chose to tell. The count reflects what James and Jimmie picked for the running order, not the local crime rate.
