These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.
Depew is a town of about 400 people in Creek County, eastern Oklahoma. The land around it was Creek Nation territory until 1896, when allotments were assigned and homesteaders were brought in to settle the region. One allotment of 115 acres went to a Creek woman, and less than six acres of it were reserved for the St. Louis and San Francisco railroad. A small settlement grew around the railway and was called Hall. Depew's ground has seen a land rush and a railway, and the removal that made room for both, which is a lot of history for 400 people.
The hotspot's five murders come from a single episode, 727, which aired in 2026. The cases are dated October 2003 and February 2005, a stretch of a little over a year, and all five victims are counted to Depew at zero miles from the centre. Rank 83 overall and third in Oklahoma, from one episode and one town, is a heavy count for a place this small.
