These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.

The Biloxi area is two towns on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Biloxi and Gulfport, eight miles apart in Harrison County. Between them they account for two episodes and three murders, one case in 1976 and one in 1982. For a coast that once held twelve lighthouses, it is a modest haul. Only two of those lighthouses survive, and Biloxi's was built in Baltimore in 1848 and shipped south, which is either thrift or stubbornness.

The hosts call Biloxi mainly a military town, with a lot of military people and not much else, and the facts agree. Keesler Field went up in the Second World War, became Keesler Air Force Base, and brought basic training and aircraft maintenance with it, plus the economy that follows a payroll. Episode 438 centres on a teenager mixing drinks and stripping in the Gulfport and Biloxi bars at sixteen. Episode 721 follows a man who grew up in the Church of God near Hattiesburg and flew three tours in Vietnam as a helicopter gunner.

Two episodes, one case each. No single bad night carries this count; the coast supplies it a case at a time.
