These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.

Chimayo is a village of 2,572 people at 6,730 feet in Rio Arriba County, north central New Mexico, an hour and a half from Albuquerque and half an hour from Santa Fe. People have settled there since about 1692, when the Spanish encouraged them into the valley. The name comes from Tewa, meaning "superior red flaking stone". Pilgrims come for the holy dirt at El Santuario de Chimayo, built privately in 1816 and handed to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in 1929. The heirloom chillies are a point of local pride. Since the mid-20th century the village has also been a remote centre of heroin distribution.

For the league it's a single episode. Episode 22, aired in 2017, covers 26 January 1991, when eight people died in Chimayo, at the centre itself. That gives it rank 134 overall and second in New Mexico.
