These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.

Jackson Township is in Monroe County, one of eighteen Pennsylvania townships with that name. A big portion of Pocono State Park on Camelback Mountain sits inside its lines. It was incorporated in 1843 as a farming and logging community and has a population of 6,596. Three episodes put it at rank 48 overall and second in Pennsylvania.

The area stretches to Washington Boro in Lancaster County, 22 miles off, and to Westminster at 24 miles. Most of the count comes from small towns out near the far edge of the radius.

The three episodes are 675, 544 and 288. Two of them carry two murders each and one carries a single murder. The dates are 1979, 1979, 1999 and 2008, so they run from the late 1970s into the 2000s. That is still enough to outrank every hotspot in the state but one.
