These are the show's cases, not crime statistics: the show picks the towns.

The Coventry Township area is commuter country in north-east Ohio. The township has about 10,900 people, fifteen minutes from Akron and under an hour from Cleveland, and five more towns sit along the roads around it. North Canton and Cuyahoga Falls are twelve miles out, Montville Township and Hudson seventeen, Beach City twenty-four. Between them they take in Summit, Stark and Medina counties and everything from a leafy suburb of just under twelve thousand people to a farming community of 681.

Six episodes and nine murders, spread thin across three decades. The earliest case is 1988 and the latest 2017, with the rest landing in 1994, 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2013. Episode 273 does most of the work, three killings in Montville Township over eleven years, and episode 461 adds two. Take those out and Ohio's top-ranked hotspot is down to four murders in four episodes, one apiece.

Quiet numbers for first place in the state and rank 11 overall. Coventry Township gets there on geography.
